Winner CHIO Aachen on GDF 2009

The most successful dressage rider of this season is coming to Holland for a Master class at the Global Dressage Forum, on 26-27 October 2009. After his victory in the World Cup Final in Las Vegas in April 2009, beating Isabell Werth and Satchmo, Steffen Peters managed to beat Anky van Grunsven and her horse IPS Salinero during the CDIO in Aachen. Does Peters riding  represents a new trend in international top dressage? This is one of the questions that will be discussed during the Forum.

The program committee of the Global Dressage Forum invited Peters for the ninth edition of the GDF as his riding seems to represent a new trend in top dressage. His riding looks relaxed, the horses are “easy going”. “May be a bit less spectacular but very friendly. And we love to see it”, one of the international judges commented. GDF Moderator Richard Davison: “Steffen Peters is already for many years one of the US top riders and contributed to winning team medals at international championships. Don’t forget het got 4th place at the last Olympics in Hongkong. He schooled and competed with several horses on international level and is a renowned horse expert. His victories in Aachen and the WC final in Las Vegas underline that the organising committee of the Global Dressage Forum succeeded again to invite a top rider”.

There is al lot of time scheduled for Steffen Peters’ master class. Before he will start the practical training of several young horses and grand prix horses, the audience will get to know more of this rider, who exchanged his native country Germany at a young age for an adventure in the US.
