Frank Kemperman, one of the most influential people of international equestrian sport.

Frank Kemperman is one of the most influential people of international equestrian sport. As Tournament Director, the 52-year-old Kemperman was responsible for the World Equestrian Games Aachen 2006. Visited by almost 600.000 people and the championships in seven equestrian disciplines surpassed all expectations. As General Director of the Organising Committee in Aachen, the ALRV, Kemperman has also been responsible for the Equestrian World Championships in the Hague (in 1994) and in Jerez (in 2002). Also he was in charge of the show-jumping competitions at the Olympic Games in Sydney. In cooperation with Academy Bartels he organised in 2005 an Equestrian Salute for the Queen of Holland. Kemperman was awarded a knightship by Her Majesty in 2007. From now on the Dutchman can refer to himself as being a companion of the Order of the Houyse of Orange-Nassau. Kemperman will give his opnion about developments in the dressage world during the 2007 Global Dressage Forum, in a combined presentation with ex World Cup director drs Joep Bartels.
