A profile of Monica Theodorescu
Georg and Monica Theodorescu will join the fifth Global Dressage Forum with a clinic on classical dressage and practical demonstrations with some of their pupils riding. Georg Theodorescu will have his 80th birthday on October first 2005.Born in Rumania, he left the country as a political refugee when he was 31 years old. In his new country Germany, Georg started to ride and train horses. Since 1978 Georg, his wife Inge and daughter Monica developed a training facility that has got world wide fame in equestrian education, the Lindenhof stud, a former race horse facility. Riders from many countries came to Lindenhof in Sassenberg to be educated to Grand Prix dressage level. More information about George Theodorescu in the next edition. Monica Theodorescu was born at the 2nd of march 1963 in Halle/ Westfahlen, Germany. Her first dressage horse was the 3 years old ´Colorado´. With this horse she came to grand-prix level and she won the European Junior Championship, the Dressage Derby, and started in Aachen when When she was only 19 years old. With her next horse, ´Lexicon´, she also won the European Junior Championship. Many victory´s in Grand Prix followed. With ´Gadimedes´ she won gold with the German team at the Olympic games in Seoul, and at the World Equestrian Games in Stockholm. Individually she won the bronze medal in Stockholm and she won twice the World Cup final, in 1993 and 1994.
