Frank Kemperman was born on January 29th, 1955 in Groesbeek, the Netherlands.
He is married to Anita and has 2 children (sons Jeroen/1984 and Joris-Jan/1988).
After finishing school he started grooming the show jumping horses of international rider
Harrie Wouters v.d. Oudenweijer. In 1978 Frank became manager of the Stud & Show Jumping Stable Zangersheide,
in Lanaken, Belgium. In 1981 he became General Manager of the National Stud and Research Centre of the
Ministry of Agriculture of the Netherlands, and in 1985 he changed job and sport when he became
General Manager of Soccer Club MVV – Maastricht .
It did not take much time to come back to the horse world.
Frank Kemperman was General Manager of Racecourse Schaesberg from 1987 to 1989, when he started as a
Director of BCM Belgium, being responsible for the organization of many international horseshows.
He was scouted by the Aachen organizers and was appointed as General Manager and Sports Director
of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein, organizer of the World Equestrian Festival CHIO Aachen
and World Equestrian Games 2006 (Germany).
Until today Frank Kemperman is very successful in developing the Aachen show to be one of the biggest
sporting events in the world and the biggest sporting event in Germany (more spectators then Formula racing!).
Next to his job in Aachen, Kemperman is Sport-Director of the CSI-W / CDI-W ´s Hertogenbosch – The Netherlands
and of the World Championships for young horses at Zangersheide – Lanaken (Belgium).
He was the program Director of the Equestrian Tribute to Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and
was awarded a Knight ship in 2007.
After his successful input as member of the Task Force Group, he has been appointed as chairman
of the Dressage Committee in Nobember 2009.
